The oars are short but are surprisingly efficient. I’ve had it on water in strong winds and never felt at risk. I find the seat comfortable and like how it keeps your butt out of the water. I’ve taken advantage of the Scotty mounts for rod holders and my anchor. This boat is amazing! I have it rigged with an electric motor and fish finder. I average 40 days on the water each year.
Outcast float tube pro#
* I usually use the Stealth Pro 6’3″ 190lbs **I don’t believe that they were designed for white water so probably not the best idea. I would like to have the option of an upgraded oar that would work with the current oar lock or an adapter that would allow a standard oar lock. I like how the oars fold over and stow when not in use, but the set up doesn’t allow any sort of upgrade. This last summer we took both boats on an overnight down the Black Canyon section of the Gunnison Gorge that included over a dozen class III and a couple class IV rapids, once again with 30+ lbs of gear.** I have mixed feelings regarding the oar set-up. I have used these on multi day fly fishing trips down the Flaming Gorge A & B sections with 30+ lbs of gear, including Red Creek Rapids. Both have around 200 river hours and so far not 1 leak, no tears, no issues with oars or oar mounts breaking, and the zippers are still working well. They have been dragged over gravel, flown around camp in the Wyoming wind, rowed through sharp underbrush, and launched off of vehicles. Have both the Outcast Stealth Pro* and Fish Cat Scout, this upcoming summer will be my 3rd season using the frameless pontoons.
